With around a thousand products TFA Dostmann GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading companies producing weather related instruments. Founded in 1964, the company is a family business and has been run by Axel Dostmann since 1993. The company head office is in Reicholzheim (near Wertheim, Germany) and employs 100 people. Typically TFA take around 80,000 orders per year - the equivalent of 6.5 million sales of products to consumers in 80 different countries.
TFA in Reicholzheim has established a modern in-house production facility for mechanical thermometers, barometers, hygrometers and compasses. Using a production area of approximately 6300 square metres TFA equipment annually automatically makes two million capillary thermometer calibration measurements as well as carrying out other production processes.
This core expertise in measuring instruments is used by TFA for their electronic weather instruments and watches. The TFA range is characterized by its own innovative technologies and exclusive designs. TFA work constantly with meteorologists, IT specialists and designers to develop their products.
Altogether the Dostmann Group consists of Wanner Technik (plastic granulators), grün Pumpen GmbH (drum and container pumps) and Dostmann electronic (precision measurement instruments). The Dostmann Group employs more than 230 persons.
